Police in Search of Armed Robbery Suspect

The West Jordan Police Department wishes to thank the public for their assistance in locating the suspect in an armed robbery at Target, located at 7779 South Jordan Landing Boulevard in West Jordan City. The suspect was located and arrested on Friday, Feb. 19, by Unified Police Department. The suspect was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail by Salt Lake City Police on charges from their jurisdiction. Charges are being screened for the armed robbery in West Jordan. The suspect was identified at Andre Flores-Hierz, age 21.

The West Jordan Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the suspect captured on these surveillance photos.

On Feb. 19, at approximately 1:10 p.m., a suspect approached a female as she was getting into her vehicle in front of Target at 7779 South Jordan Landing Boulevard in West Jordan City. The suspect presented a handgun and demanded the female’s purse. After taking the purse, the suspect ran to his vehicle and left the area, going west through the parking lot. The suspect is described as a male, possibly Hispanic, with thin facial hair. The suspect was described as being in his twenties. He was dressed in blue jeans, a black t-shirt, with white writing on it, covering a light-colored long-sleeve shirt. He was also wearing a dark-colored beanie. The suspect left in an older maroon Chevy Impala.
