Brothers receive Eagle awards
Brothers Landon and Branson Hirschi of West Jordan received their Eagle Scout awards on Aug. 15. They are 18 months apart in age.
Landon did a project for "Computers for Kids." He had his troop members and others help in checking donated mouse and key pads to see if they worked properly. They exceeded the amount originally requested. Landon worked at Cub Country and earned money to purchase pizza and soda for all who helped.
For his Eagle project, Branson did humanitary kits. The kits included toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, hand soap and a hand towel. Local businesses were generous in their donations, as well as his neighbors, friends, and family. He also exceeded the amount of kits needed. These kits were turned in to the Humanitary Building in November, just before the tsunami hit Haiti.
