Fall colors: Mom Nature shows off

227 days ago1765 views

I drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon yesterday, and the fabulous colors knocked my socks off. The reds, yellows and oranges are absolutely electric this year. It was an "oooooh" and "aaaaah" drive all the way up the canyon. Now is prime time to do your share of leaf peeping.

Usually the colors start at the top of the mountains and work their way down over several weeks. Not this year. Everything is popping all at once. Get out and enjoy the colors.

When  you go: Pull into Solitude's day parking lot (the first one) and drive around the perimeter of it for a close up display of fall colors at their best. Then drive on up to the Brighton Circle and do a loop around it. Be sure to take your camera.
