Lunch is served Monday through Friday at noon for a suggested donation of $2.50 for anyone 60 and over. Please make your reservation 24 hours in advance. We also offer an alternate lunch available without a reservation. The alternate meal for January is soup and sandwich.

Jan. 23 through Jan. 27 – Vote for Advisory Council. It's that time of the year to elect new members for the Advisory Council. Come in and vote for who you would like to represent you on our council.

Jan. 24, 11 a.m. – Chase Away the Winter Blues. Join us for fun games and prizes. Sign up for our meatloaf lunch and then stick around for Bingo.

Feb. 3, 1 p.m. – Handmade Glycerin Soap Class. Learn how to make beautiful, handcrafted soap. Please sign up at the desk.

Feb. 6 – Birthday Monday.

Feb. 8, 11 a.m. – Discussion: Veteran’s Benefits through the VA.

Feb. 10, 12:30 to 2 p.m. – Free Legal Consultations.

Feb. 14, 11 a.m. – Valentine’s Day Party. The festivities begin with the New Fiddlers performing for us, followed by a delicious meatloaf lunch. Everyone eating lunch receives a special treat.

Feb. 15, 4:30 p.m. – Valentine Dinner Party. John Prather will sing love songs to us, and then you’ll enjoy a delicious chicken dinner, all for just $5 per person. Please sign up at the desk by Feb. 13.

                9:30 a.m. – Beginning Line Dancing

10 a.m. – Polymer Clay Class. Come learn how to make jewelry, cover glass and even make small statues. Free class; you provide your own materials.

10:30 a.m. – Intermediate Line Dancing

                10 a.m. – Wii Bowling

Fridays

                9 a.m. – Tatting

                10:30 a.m. – Leatherworking. Looking for a new hobby? Try leatherworking. You can make a free keychain to get started. Taught by Dave Beck from Beck Leather.

                Volunteer Opportunities: We are looking for a few volunteers to help us answer phones on Mon., Wed. and Thurs. from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. If you have a few hours to spare during the week, please consider volunteering some of your time. We are also looking for volunteers to help in the kitchen. Kitchen shifts are from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and can be adjusted to help fit within your schedule. Computer instructors are also needed. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact the center at 801-561-7320 and ask for Lisa or Nancy.
