Across the country, the KFC Foundation granted more than 300 KFC restaurant employees $2 million in scholarships this year, with eight West Jordan students receiving $5,000 each. The students are employees at the Jordan Landing location (3753 W. Jordan Landing Blvd.).
Luke Bowers (UVU), Cooper Christensen (USU), Tyler and Bryan Holgate (BYU), Whitney and Hailey Kidd (BYU), Daxton Reid (West Jordan High School) and Brandon Turner (Taylorsville High School) shared $40,000 in scholarship money from the foundation.
The KFC Foundation Scholarship program allows KFC restaurant employees to pursue their educational dreams by providing scholarships to attend an accredited four-year or two-year college, trade/vocational school or graduate school of their choice.
“Education opens doors, and we’re proud to help KFC restaurant employees walk through them,” KFC Foundation Executive Director Emma Horn said. “Each scholarship represents an investment in someone’s future and the incredible potential they bring to their communities.”
