The Jaguars are taking their talents to the next level.
West Jordan High School saw 11 athletes from eight different sports sign letters of intent in early May to play in college next year.
Only one athlete, Lole Faatili, will stay in Utah as the wrestler signed with Utah Tech University. The other 10 will travel as close as Arizona and as far as Virginia to continue in their respective sports.
The signing day comes on the heels of a particularly successful two-year sports run for Jaguar athletics. The 24-25 school year saw West Jordan capture seven region titles, capped off with two state championships in softball and the 4x100 relay. It even featured a Utah Gatorade Player of the Year in softball player Rita Tavita.
This school year saw boys cross country, girls volleyball, boys volleyball all earn outright region championships while baseball earned a share of its region title.
